- Messages: Retained while the conversation is active; deleted when both users leave or delete their accounts
- Usage Logs: Retained for up to 12 months for analytics and debugging
6. Your Rights and Choices
Access and Correction
You can view and update your profile information in the App settings.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account. This will:
- Remove your profile and account data
- Delete your messages from our servers
- Remove you from any active pairings
Notifications
You can manage notification preferences in the App settings.
Location
You can disable location access in your device settings, though this may limit certain features.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure authentication via Apple/Google Sign-In
- Row-level security in our database
- Regular security reviews
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
Icebreakers is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
